 1796 - Louis Philippe, Duke of Orleans and his two brothers.

 1840 - Former U.S. President John Quincy Adams makes a private visit to Halifax.

 1841 - Francois d'Orleans, Prince of Joinville visited Halifax for one week, abroad the Bella-Poule

 1861 - Prince Napoleon (cousin of Emperor Napoleon III of France) and his wife, Princess Clotilde (daughter of King Victor Emmanuel II of Italy) sailed into Tangier Harbour on their yacht, the Jerome Napoleon - July.

 1893 - Prince Roland Bonaparte, a grandson of the brother of Napoleon arrived at Halifax - 05 June. He was met at the rail station by Premier Fielding. On June 7th he was entertained by Lieutenant Governor Malachy Bowes Daly at Government House.

 1896 - Prince Luigi of Savoy, nephew of the King of Italy - Nov 30th - Halifax.

 1889 - Prince Victor Duleep Singhi, son of the Maharajah of Lahore, India stationed in Halifax as a member of the staff of Sir John Ross in Her Majesty's British North America forces.

 1903 - Prince Louis of Battenberg - September - Halifax.

 1905 - Prince Louis of Battenberg - Halifax, Annapolis. - September 22nd - November 1st.

 1913 - Prince Albert of Monaco arrives in Halifax on the steamship Princess Alice as part of his oceanographic investigations. August 14th.

 1917 - Count Johan von Bernstoff (German Ambassador to the U.S.) and Prince Hatzfeldt zu Trachtenberg - 19 February for 12 days

 1917 - Prince Erik of Denmark attends luncheon at Government House, Halifax on way back to Europe after Western tour - March 15

 1918 - Princess Sudhira Mander of Cooch Behar, India - arrived in Halifax from England enroute to India, stopped in Halifax overnight - April 16

 1927 - Prime Minister Stanley Baldwin of Great Britain - banquet at Government House, Halifax. 17 August.

 1936 - US President Franklin Roosevelt visits Halifax while on summer cruise. 21-23 August.

 1939 - US President Franklin Roosevent visits Halifax on summer cruise.

 1940 - Princess Juliana of the Netherlands and her 2 eldest daughters arrive at Halifax in June. She stayed in Canada during WWII.

 1941 - Crown Prince Olav and Crown Princess Martha of Norway - February - visited Halifax and Lunenburg.

 1941 - Princess Juliana of the Netherlands spends a long holiday at Pictou Lodge, N.S.

 1943 - Winston Churchill, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. 14 Sep.

 1944 - Winston Churchill, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Mrs. Churchill, on train greeted well wishers and lead them in song. Greeted by Lieutenant Governor H.E. Kendall. 09 Sep.

 1946 - Prince George & Princess Marie of Greece, Princess Radziwill, Princess Tatiana and Prince George Andrew - January 13th, Halifax - transferring from ship to train to head to U.S.

 2017 - President Hashim Thaci of the Republic of Kosovo was in Halifax on November 18th and met with refugees who immigrated to Halifax in 1999.  CBC Nova Scotia

2018 - HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco visited Halifax where he visited the Ocean Frontier Institute at Dalhousie University and attended a dinner at the Canadian Forces Base. May 8th
