1954 - Princess Marina, Duchess of Kent and her daughter Princess Alexandra. 02 September to 04 September - Halifax, Dartmouth.

1958 - Princess Margaret (daughter of King George VI). 11 August to 12 August. Digby, Halifax, Yarmouth, Church Point, Annapolis Royal, Middleton Kentville and Windsor.

1958 - Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh after disaster at Springhill Mine - 31 October.

1959 - Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh . 31 July to 01 August.

1967 - Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother for Canada Centennial Celebrations. 14 July to 16 July.

1973 - Princess Alexandra (daughter of Prince George, Duke of Kent) and the Hon. Angus Ogilvy. 19 July to 23 July. Halifax, Pictou, Chester. To participate in celebrations marking the arrival of the Ship "Hector" with the first Scottish settlers.

1973 - Prince Charles, Prince of Wales. Arrived on H.M.S. Minerava. August. In Halifax for 2 days.

1975 - Prince Charles, Prince of Wales. Personal visit while on board HMS Hermes.

1976 - Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh and Prince Andrew. 13 July to 15 July.

1978 - Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh - refueling stopover. 09 October.

1979 - Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother. 26 June to 29 June. Presents colours to Maritime Command. Opens the International Gathering of the Clans.

1980 - Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh - stopover from visit to Bermuda. 11 October.

1983 - Prince Charles, Prince of Wales and Diana, Princess of Wales (Lady Diana Spencer). 14 June to 16 June. Halifax, Lunenburg, Shelburne, 200th Anniversary of United Empire Loyalists.

1984 - Prince Michael of Kent (son of Prince George, Duke of Kent). 22 February to 24 February. Baddeck to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the first powered flight in the British Empire, Halifax.

1985 - Prince Andrew (son of Queen Elizabeth II) - 26 June to 29 June. Halifax, Digby, Annapolis Royal, North Sydney, Halifax, Truro, Dartmouth.

1987 - Prince Edward (son of Queen Elizabeth II) - 25 June to 2 June. Sambro, Halifax. Opened the NS Tattoo for the International Gathering of the Clans.

1988 - Princess Anne and Captain Mark Phillips, February, Halifax - private visit.

1988 - Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon (sister of Queen Elizabeth II). 05 July to 12 July. Shelburne memorial unveiled. Presented new colours to Princess Louise Fusiliers. Visited Canning for 75th Anniversary of Nova Scotia's Women's Institute.

1989 - Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh - refueling stop. 21 March.

1990 - Prince Richard, Duke of Gloucester. 07 May to 10 May. Order of Saint John.

1991 - Princess Anne, Princess Royal (daughter of Queen Elizabeth II). 04 July to 06 July. Halifax, Dartmouth for the Gathering of the Clans and visited the Black Community Centre.

1992 - Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, stopover. 25 March.

1993 - Prince Edward (son of Queen Elizabeth II). 14 April. Halifax for Duke of Edinburgh Awards.

1993 - Prince Andrew, Duke of York. September. To visit Marcom, dinner at Government House. He also toured HMCS Sackville.

1994 - Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. 13 August to 15 August. Halifax, Dartmouth, Sydney. The Queen opens the QEII Hospital, Prince Philips tours rennovations of St. George's Round Church which had been destroyed by a fire. Visited Fortress of Louisbourg.

1996 - Lady Patricia, Countess Mountbatten of Burma. July. Halifax, attended the Nova Scotia Tattoo.

1997 - Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. 21 March. Halifax, World Wildlife Fund luncheon.

2000 - Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex & Sophie, Countess of Wessex. 18 July. Halifax. Visited Pier 21 for Duke of Edinburgh Awards. Luncheon at Government House.
